Anna M. Pederson

Anna M. Pederson, 79; of Fulton passed away peacefully after a long illness at Morningstar Care Center, Oswego. She was born in Fulton, NY to the late Philip and Nancy (Zaia) Monforte. Mrs. Pederson remained a resident of Fulton for most of her life. She was past employed with the Carthage School System as a Teacher and the Fulton Consolidated School System where she worked for 13 years as a Teacher’s Aide. Anna loved the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks. She and her husband Brian took their honeymoon in Blue Mountain Lake, Hamilton County. They continued to visit the Adirondacks throughout their marriage vacationing at their camp located on Main Street near Hollywood Hills Road on First Lake with their family over the next 58 years. As a couple they were avid in biking, boating, swimming, and hiking. Anna and Brian also enjoyed wintering in Florida for 20+ years. She is survived by her husband of 58.5 years Brian J. Pederson of Fulton, their children: Patricia (Rich Heffernan) Pederson of DeRuyder, NY; Gerhardt (Cathy) Pederson of PA, Neil (Karen) Pederson of MA, and Christine (David Meeker) Pederson of Fulton, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anna was pre-deceased by her sister Mary Ann Myers. A Memorial Service will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton with Deacon Nicholas Alvaro. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
